2017 was our first foray into chardonnay and we could not be more excited. After four vintages in Oregon we understood the Willamette Valley could easily create some of the greatest Chardonnay around. Not believing our luck we found a small, high-elevation vineyard in the backyard of a long time professional vineyard manager. His passion for this pet project was obvious with one look at the perfectly manicured hillside vineyard. One early morning, with a group of good friends, we picked the most pristine vineyard in Oregon. It was even blow dried before we arrived to remove the dew. A gentle pressing followed by a natural fermentation in barrel created a Chardonnay whose story we are proud to tell.
